NRG Sense is free to use, and we don't run ads or sell your data. Some of the “buy” links on the site are affiliate links — if you buy through one, we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. This page explains exactly how that works and, more importantly, why it never changes the numbers we show you or the system we suggest.
How the links work
The battery “See the…” buttons on our analyzer go to Outbound Power, an authorized dealer for the battery brands we cover (EcoFlow, Anker SOLIX, and others). If you make a purchase after clicking one of those links, NRG Sense may earn a commission — currently about 5% of the sale. You pay the same price you would otherwise; the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket.
We show a short note right next to any link that can earn us a commission, so you always know before you click. Links that don't earn us anything (like a manufacturer's own page) carry no such note.
Why it doesn't bias our numbers
Your backup, savings, and cost estimates are produced by a fixed calculation built on your actual bill, your rate plan, and the loads you pick — not on which product pays us. The math would return the same result whether or not any affiliate program existed.
We only point you to a paid link for a product we'd recommend anyway, and we tell you plainly when we haven't personally tested something. We'd rather send you to the right system and earn nothing than steer you to the wrong one for a commission — the honest numbers are the entire point of this site, and they're worth more to us than any single sale.
A note on prices
Retailer prices are set by the dealer and change often. The figures in our analyzer are ranges “as of” a stated date, meant for planning — always confirm the current price on the retailer's page (and it's worth checking the manufacturer's own site too) before you buy. A licensed electrician quotes the install for your home.
Who we partner with
Today our battery links run through the Outbound Power affiliate program. We may add other reputable partners over time; if we do, the same rules apply — clear disclosure at the link, and no influence on our recommendations. This page will always reflect the current relationships.
